Cool typing game, allows you to race other people by typing in a short paragraph of text. Quite fun and interesting.

For anyone looking for JAAS modules i’ve created a custom loginModule which is intended to be used in a Single Sign On Environment. The module uses a config file which specifies the DataBase options and check a User against the DB and assign the correct role to the user.

Theres also a SampleAcn Module used for testing the login Module. If you want to place the login module anywhere thats not jre/lib/ext/ then you’ll have to make a policy file to grant access to the login Module to use the db resources and for it to edit the principal. To test the code I used the following:

The original custom login module came from here and these will actually check a password against the DB as well, but in a single sign on solution this is not needed.

The modules can be used for any application server that supports the JAAS api.

ELECTRO BOOGIE!

Was browsing the web when I came acrossOffice Poltergeist which is a small trojan horse which allows you to control other peoples computers in the office. The program was made using a windows gui scripting language called autoit v3. Seems quite good for manipulating keystrokes, mouse movements etc.

New program out that supports streaming a game from a hi end desktop pc to a laptop or ps3. I’m guessing it works by just streaming the video output from one pc to another but the videos for this look pretty impressive. Was watching a video of someone playing crysis from a desktop to their asus eee pc.

Subversive is another eclipse plugin for subversion. I’ve not given it a try yet.

Threadless t-shirts is a great community of people where you can design your own t-shirts, vote on designs you want to be printed, or just browse for a cool orignal t-shirt. You can also get hoodies but they seem to sell out much quicker and aren’t avaliable for all the designs.

Basic 64 is a freeware vst plugin for your favourite DAW (sequencer). All you need is to download and off you go.

The synth trys to recreate the sounds of the classic Commodore 64 so is perfect for all your 8 bit creations. If your stuck for a decent sequencer try Cubase (my current favourite) , ableton live, or fruity loops as these all support VST’s. I’m sure there are also some free ones avaliable for windows/linux/mac os just have a google around.

If you have a banned console or not even, theres a new version of Kai. Kai allows you to play network games across the internet. Therefore you don’t need to pay for xbox live or if you have a banned console you can play network games with other players across the world. Its not the same as playing online becuase you don’t get the ranks etc but its better than nothing if you have a banned console.
